Hey Humans!
So Welcome to my Monthly Favs and Fails of October 2014! This is done in conjunction with my Half Month Favs, which you can view by clicking here.
So, lets get straight into it!
The first Hit for this month has definitely got to be MACs Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscapade.
This is a SUPER shimmery blush/powder/highlight (whatever you want to use it for) and the colour is perfect for adding a cool highlight on the high points of the face. It is exactly like Beccas Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Moonstone (Texturewise), yet MACs is a lot more shimmery and it's also cooler.
I got it in BT2 for €30, but with the amount that you get in the compact, it's worth every penny!
And of course, I HAVE to give an honourable mention to the new Mineralize packaging, which is so much nicer than the old packaging! Way to go, MAC!
My next hit for October is the Wet n Wild CoverAll concealer palette!
I was in Penney's recently with my friend, and we were browsing the new Wet n Wild stall that they have in our local Penney's, and I saw the CoverAll palette. I had been looking out for a good colour correcting concealer recently, so I picked it up as it was only like €3. I LOVE THIS THING!
The orange is PERFECT for dark circles, the green is amazing for red blotches or pimples, the pink is fantastic for brightening up underneath the eyes when the dark circles aren't too dark, and I don't need to say anything about the White highlighting shade.
Hit number 3 is a pack of lashes... what?
So the I-ENVY by KISS lashes in Diva 02 are now my go-to lashes for clients. Yes, I USE LASHES IN MY KIT!
I love these lashes so much, as they are a perfect shape to add dramatic effect to the lashes without making them look like they're massive globs of plastic hair shoved onto someone's eyelashes, something which I have seen a LOT of with some of the higher end lashes.
Another great thing about these lashes is that they are an EXACT dupe for the XOBeauty Feline lashes, which cost a hell of a lot of money, and my clients aren't going to spend €20 on a pair of false eyelashes. So, I use these and they cost a quarter of the price of the XOBeauty ones!
A TV show that I've been obsessing over recently is RuPaul's Drag Race, and some of the music on it is TO DIE FOR! Each season has its own main tune. And, I AM LOVING THEM ALL!
Season 1, Covergirl. No Words.
Season 2, Jealous of my Boogie. Fabulous.
Season 3, Champion. Can't even.
Season 4, Glamazon. Amazing.
Season 5, The Beginning. To Die For.
Season 6, Sissy That Walk. STARSTRUCK!
Now, onto THE FAILS :(
So, I only have one fail for the month of October, and it's the Real Techniques Fine Liner Brush.
Now, as you probably know, I am a Real Techniques Lover, and I own about 50% of all of their brushes, but this one is just a failure!
It doesn't give a thin line, it smears the product, and when you wash it, it doesn't keep its shape! Sorry Sam and Nic, but I have to state this brush as a fail. :(
So That's all I have for this Monthly Favs! Keep checkin back for more blog posts! And don't forget: Don't be Jealous of My Boogie! (Whatup RuPaul Reference!)
Bye guys!

Makeup uses... and Why?
Hey Humanity!
So this post is a follow on post from my first post, Where did Makeup Originate?
Remember when I said that in Japan, Geisha used safflower seeds to make lipstick, tinted eyebrow gel and eyeliner? And that in India, women used to use Kohl on their eyes as eyeliner? Well, it's time to find out why.
